SDCC Recap + A Bunch Of Little Stuffs 7/29/08

- TOYS (SDCC recap): Brandt Peters will be releasing his fist mini figure series Serve-O-Matic later this year. Click here to read more about it.



- Luke Chueh's Black in White next vinyl figure was revealed at SDCC last weekend.



- Joe Ledbetter signed his Lava unicornsaurus at the kidrobot booth at SDCC. The other 2 versions will be available at www.pinkghost.net



- Buffmonster released his SDCC Exclusive S2 Revenge figures last weekend.



- STRANGEco revealed an upcoming Mini King Ken Blind Box series by James Jarvis.

- Cocommando one of Tokidoki's upcoming figures was shown at STRANGEco's booth at SDCC.

- Rotofugi displayed their upcoming Marshall zipper pulls and figures. They are too cute!





- MAD released and signed his SHARPEST SPRAYER mini figures.



- Andrew Bell released the first edition of his new vinyl Figure the Giver. The SDCC Edition has The Giver of War:Dead Zebra. Keep an eye out for the next two versions Giver of Disease: Gangrene and Giver of War: Red Scare.



- Scott Tolleson dropped his latest 6 inch figure Doc Von Block.



- Strange Kiss released David Lanham's Zog and Kozik's bloody edition Zog.



- Ugly Dolls mini action figures were revealed at SDCC. They will be available at pinkghost later this year or early next year. Can't wait!



- Super7 had a sneak peek at their upcoming series with artists Le Merde, Bwana Spoons, Brandt Peters, Kathie Olivas and Fleribant Wythmann..

(non SDCC) - Mr Clement will be releasing a new edition of his petit lapin. The new edition brings a mustache, a scarf, a petit lapin comic book and an envelope.



- ART: House of Liu Customs Show will open at APW Gallery in NY on Aug. 22, 2008. Participating artists include: Peskimo, Julie West, Jim Koch, Shawnimals, Lou Pimentel, and many more.



- Group art show themed on the nostalgic gaming era, I am 8-bit, will open its 4th exhibition on August 14, 2008 at World of Wonder Gallery in Hollywood. There will be over 100 participating artists including: Joe Ledbetter, Ashley Wood, Luke Chueh, Yoskay Yamamoto, Scott Belcastro, and Elizabeth Ito..

- Baby Tattooville the $2000 weekend retreat with artists: Glenn Barr, Dave Cooper, Bob Dob, Joe Ledbetter, Shag, Amy Sol and Michael Whelan will take place October 3 - 5, 2008. It includes art sessions socializing with the artists, lots of goodies, books and exclusive toys.

- WALL-E had amazing animation but the storyline didn't keep me hooked & felt too long. Then again, I did fall in love with WALL-E's character.

- Hancock - I went to this movie with the lowest of expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Jason Bateman does a great job.
